From VB/VBA, you can use the Application.ActiveInspector.CurrentItem method from the Outlook object model to return the currently open item. In the VBScript code behind a custom form, you'd use the intrinsic Item object.

We have a custom form with a few check boxes and a couple entry fields. I
need some VB code that will set a couple of the check boxes to true and then
put a date in an entry field. Does anyone have a code sample that can do
this? How do I reference the currently opened message (with the custom
form) ?
