Hi Roady,
tell me the config info you need, and I'll get it to you.
Here is some of it:
Lenovo Thinkpad T60
4 GB RAM
MS Vista 6 Build 6000
MS Office 2003 with SP2
Windows Defender as Firewall (I had Norton, but I uninstalled it.)
Although I don't have a problem accessing the exchange server using Outlook
2003 and XP, I do with Vista unless I use OWA. (With OWA, I don't have any
problems either.)
If you wan't I can send snapshots of the HTTP configuration.
Thoughts:
Why I think it might be a certificate problem is that when I access the site
per OWA, I get a message (unfortunately in German) that says the sites
certificate is not from a trusted source and asks me if I should proceed with
loading the page...
I don't get any message regarding the certificate when I try with normal
outlook, it just tells me that the server is not available...
Thanks for the help,
Eddie

Hard to be any more specific without any additional configuration
information. If you use a 3rd part firewall solution simply disable it and
test again. In the case of Norton products you're better off uninstalling
them completely.
What makes you think it is a certificate error? Do you get any errors?

Gee thanks, Roady.
Could you be a little more specific?
I'm not exactly Mr. Firewall if you know what I mean. (IOW, I don't have
any
idea where to start...)
Have you ever heard of this problem before?
I'm thinking it might have something to do with the security certificate,
but I don't know where to find it...

You might want to start with checking your firewall settings.

Hello,
I just got a new laptop with Vista on it.
I installed MS Office 2003 incl. Outlook 2003.
SP2 is installed.
The laptop has "Norten Protection Center" installed.
Problem:
When I'm in my network at work, Outlook has no problem accessing the
Exchange server. When I am at home, Outlook can't seem to find the
server
even though I have HTTP configured the same as my home desktop and old
laptop
(XP machines).
- Outlook Web Access works fine on the new machine.
- Outlook on my desktop machine at home as well as on my old laptop has
no
problem accessing my Exchange server over HTTP.
- As with my home desktop, my new laptop is not part of the domain at
work.
I must have something configured incorrectly, any ideas?
ciao
