Default Default mail client

Outlook is part of Office (with Word, Excel, etc.). You have to buy it.
It's not available for a free download.

If in doubt, go to control panel, Add/Remove Programs. Office will show
up as Microsoft Office.

When trying to launch Active Sync to enable my PDA and laptop to
speak to
each other, I get an error message telling me to go to Help of Active
Sync.

When I do this it then tells me that I should run OUTLOOK and set it
as the
default mail client.

How???? I've tried various ways , all to no avail.

Any tips gratefully received
