Hi,
i have the same problem with an Oracle ldap server version 10.1.4.0.1 . It
seems that some LDAP-Servers doesn't support features that will be expected
by outlook. In Microsoft KB there are some articles with some tricks like
disabling vlv browsing (
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555536/) or disabling
seaching in some ldap attributes.
If you try to browse an active directory via ldap outlook doesn't have any
problems! So there is a simple question: What features do i have to add to
3rd party ldap servers so it will be recognized by outlook like an active
directory? Any hints are appreciated.

Using Accessories Address book I am able to browse my remote ldap directory.
When I enter the same information into the Outlook 2003 address directory
(Tools Accounts Directory) My search returns an error "The search could
not be completed. MAPI_E_CALL_FAILED"
How should an LDAP directory be setup in Outlook?
