Default Buffer overflow

When I tried to attach a picture to an email message in Outlook Express,
McAfee interrupted with the message:
c:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe
McAfee has automatically blocked a buffer overflow.

I had to allow this in McAfee before I could attach the picture.

When I look at the McAfee log the API column showed:
Kernel32.GetProcAddress

Any suggestion as to why the buffer overflow occurred would be welcome
