Default Deleted folder

I don't know how much of a technical answer I can give you, but the default
folders are a part of the program. For example, if you went into the Message
Store and deleted the dbx files for all the folders, including folders you
created, new empty default folders would be automatically created when you
opened OE. Not so for user created folders as they were not part of the
original program.

Similar as if you reloaded your OS. The default folders would be there, but
not ones you created in the past. this is why we preach for all folders,
back them up on a regular basis.

There is nothing you can do. The folder will be placed in the Deleted
Items
folder. All I can say is to be more careful, and if you have Empty deleted
items on exit checked, uncheck it and do that manually.

Thanks, Bruce, I understand what you are saying. I still have a
question, however. How are the Inbox, Outbox, Sent Items, &
Deleted Items folders protected from inadvertent deletion. I have
made this same mistake when trying to delete a message from one
of these folders, but the folder can not be deleted...even when I
press Shift Delete, then click the Y (Yes) key it simply blinks
at me and does not delete the folder. I would like to change the
settings on some of my other folders to get this same protection
against inadvertend deletion.
