Default Outlook backup

Hi Nick,

it seems that you did install something but during theinstallion you bracke
up the installation.

I do not know if the "Backup" Software is an Outlook addin, so you could
check if you find an entry under "File/Options/Further/advanced
Options/Add-In Manager" or "COM addins".

If you find an Add-In with a like "backuup" deactivate the flag for this
program.

Another idea (a hard way) is to delete the entries in the registry with
"backappl.exe".

How to delete a windows registry key?
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310516/en-us

BUT if you are not sure, how to work with the registry, ask a friend with IT
experiences, if he could search in the registry for "Backappl.exe".

Sorry, but I have found no further information.

Maybe it helps.

HI Oliver.

I did a search and no backappl.exe exists on any of my harddiscs. What
should I do? Seems like I am in "software limbo".

Thanks,

Nick

Hi Nick,

did you looked under "Software" in the "Control Panel/Software".

Is it here in the list of installed software?

If you search for "backappl.exe" on your harddisks, do you find this exe
file?

HI. I have OL2003. The problem I have is that I can not uninstall a
previous
version from add/remove list. It is not in the list for me to remove.
Yet,
when I try to download the tool, it tells me that I have to remove it!
Then
it tells me that I can not remove something that is not installed. Is
there a
stray file somewhere that needs to be deleted?

Thanks,

Nick
