Make sure the file you are trying to import is not read only. Copy all the
dbx files off the CD into a blank directory and then Right click on them and
clear the read only attribute, as OE will not import read only files.

Yes, I tried that. It again seemed to be performing the procedure
properly but nothing showed up in OE.

I did omit to mention that the version of OE supplied was one that came
with a Wanadoo broadband installation and not the bog standard OE that you
get with Windoze. I don't know how much they alter the MS software or
whether it could cause these problems.
