I dont see why the calendar does not automatically update if you mark
the item as read!!

How does reading a meeting request in any way convey that it has been
accepted? Do you have ToolsOptionsCalendar OptionsResource
OptionsAutomatically accept meeting requests and process cancellations
checked?
