For your needs, however, your Outlook Data file is not even in play. What
you want to transfer is your Autocompletion cache. Instructions have been

Over time, everytime I manually type in an e-mail address into the "to:"
box
in Outlook 2003, Outlook must save it somewhere as the next time I start
to
type an address in the box, all the names that begin with that letter pop
up.
My hard drive is/was going bad so I installed a new one and reinstalled
Outlook.
I tried exporting from the old hard drive and then importing the contact
list to the new per Microsofts instructions on doing so with contacts.
But when I try and type an address into the "to:" box, none of the
previous
contacts pop up to choose from.
Are the e-mail addresses that are automatically saved not called and
treated
the same as "contacts"?
Can someone help? I have a bunch of addresses in the old hard drive
