Repost: Are you attempting to recover messages from Hotmail-Sent Items
folder? [My CrystalBallİ is out being polished.]
It seems
mighty co-incidental that all the sent files in OE disappeared right
after
that.
Don't be so paranoid. When was the last time you accessed the rock9995
account in OE? ...at www.hotmail.com?
Except for the paid account of course
What "paid account"? Have you subscribed to Hotmail Plus or MSN Premium
(not that it matters, really)?

Bear, I made rock9995 my default email this afternoon after removing an

after piddling around for awhile looking for them, I hit "synchronize
all"
and watched some files get downloaded in the various accounts but if
that
also compacted them I don't know. I didn't actually compact anything by
clicking something as far as I know.
they're gone aren't they? gone Gone GONE!

ps. thanks

Are you attempting to recover messages from Hotmail-Sent Items folder
(per your original thread here, "what the? BEAR and the other
pros...are you there??") ?
Have you compacted all OE folders since they went missing?

try getting a free dbx viewer from snapfish.com to try to find and
recover
lost (maybe) OE files.
I did all that and installed a program (freeware) called OE View but
now I
don't know where to look in the computer.
I"ve looked in the Outlook Express folder in the Program Files
folder
but no dbx files or any kind of OE database.
Where the Sam Hill are the OE emails stored on the computer?? What
directory? Anybody know?
