Default many many many errors :(

Thanks for the links I'll check them out when I get home. Brian A in the
win98 gen discussion group gave me the first link as well, so it must be
good!

Good afternoon all
It's only me with my computer problems - yet again

Okay here we go,I was reading the posts in OE6 newsgroups and my comp
froze on me. I did ctrl-alt-del for a restart.

As the disks were scanning, the following error appeared : "Scandisk
detected an invalid long filename entry on this drive but was unable to
fix it. To fix this problem, run Scandisk for Windows."

Still with me?? .

So...when my computer had logged on, I started checking the scandisk and
got ANOTHER bloody error: "Scandisk has restarted 10 times because
Windows or another program has been writing to this drive. Quitting some
running programs may enable Scandisk to finish sooner."

I didn't have *any* running programs at this time,so I'm stuck at what

to
do next

Any help would be very appreciated.
