Default Sharepoint-Lists and adm-Template ???

Hello Greg,

thank you so much for this information. This is excacty what I'm looking
for!

Another question. Under Outlook 2003 we didn't used Word as E-Mail editior.
In Outlook 2007 you can't configure this option any more, because it has is
an own editor. But if you have Word installed on the machine it looks like
that word is used as editor.

We have an application (CRM) that automatically creates documents filled
with address and so on over DDE. This works find as long as Outlook 2007 is
closed. But if Outlook 2007 is opened we get DDE-Errors.

Do you know any regkey or option where I can change this behavior?

Greetings from Germany

Christian,

The only way I have found (so far) to determine the correct URL is to
extract the URL using the MAPI Editor Tool
(http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;EN-US;291794)

1. Add the SharePoint list to your profile using the Connect to Outlook
option on the list.
2. Take all the defaults and make sure the account is in your Outlook
profile.
3. Run MFCMAPI.exe
4. Click OK
5. On the Session menu select Logon and Display Store Table
6. Select your current profile if prompted
7. Double-click the "SharePoint" Lists item in the display of stores in
your profile
8. Expand "Root Container" and then "Top of Personal Folders"
9. Right-click the folder for the WSS list you just added and click "Open
Associated Contents table"
10. Select "SharePoint" in the top pane of the window
11. In the bottom pane, scroll down the list of properties until you see
the one with the "stssync" URL in the "Value" column.
12. Double-click this property
13. In the dialog that appears copy the text from the top box (Ansi
String) using CTRL+C

This is the URL I got to work in my test environment.

Hope this helps.

Hello Greg,

I have already tried it with stssync://sharepointsite/List but there is
an error, that says I should contact my sharepoint admin :-(

Do you have an exact syntax of the url-format I have to enter. I see
your url looks like ?ver=1.1&type&cmd=add-folder&base-url.. do I have to
add these commands?

Greetings from Germany

Christian

Christian,

This is because the URL you specify must be in the form "stssync://
...". For example:

stssync://sts/?ver=1.1&type=tasks&cmd=add-folder&base-url=http://server/sites/greg&list-url=/Lists/OL12Tasks/&guid=%7ba2b8fe8b-15fd-492f-ad38-21e6875d9af6%7d&site-name=Greg%20Mansius&list-name=OL12Tasks

The only way I can find this URL is using a tool like MFCMAPI to examine
the associated contents table of the SharePoint list after it's been
synch'd to an Outlook profile. Please let me know if you need detailed
instructions on how to find the stssync URL

Hello,

has anyone sucessfully configured SharePoint-Lists in Outlook 2007 over
the adm-template?

I have configured my adm-template as follows:

Sharepoint-List
Name: Test
Value: http://sharepoint.company.tld/Folder/List

I can see the entry under
HKLM\Software\Policys\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outloo k\Options\Accounts
and regmon shows that these regvalues are read at the startup of
Outlook. But I can't see the lists in Outlook.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your help
