Outlook 2007 has one editor- word.

Are you using a blank signature?

The 'AutoCorrect' facility does not seem to work on my Outlook 2007 even
though the settings are turned on (cross checked with online help 2-3
times).
Stranger is the fact that the explicit invocation of Spell check does not
find any words incorrectly spelt even though it finds grammatical errors
and
auto marks grammatical errors.

Most of the settings are default settings at the time of installation.

Word works like a charm though.

In outlook 2003 there was an option to select word as the editor of choice
which no longer seems a valid option.

Any pointers??
