Default sent items missing

PABear:
OH! I am surprised that someone else read this thread and found my inquiry,
so deeply & so long after the thread was started. I had ASSUMED that DGUESS
& PABEAR are the same person.

Yes, things are muddy.

Thanks for your advice.

OT? Over Time?

DGuess has already translated YW.

[My comment in brackets was OT and intended for rock995. When another
poster with similar problems "piggybacks" onto someone else's thread, the
waters can get muddied. For example, while your problem involved the Local
folder "Sent Items", rock995's involved the Hotmail-dedicated "Send Items"
folder which has much different properties than the Local folder of the same
name.]

YW, Wiley.

[See what happens, rock9995, when you "piggyback" onto someone else's
thread? wink]

Avoid Such Corruption in Futu

- Don't use Inbox or Sent Items to archive messages. Move them to
local folders created for this purpose.

- Empty Deleted Items folder daily.

- Disable Background Compacting [N/A in SP2] and frequently perform
a manual compact of all OE folders while "working offline". More at
http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/files/maintain.htm.

- WinXP SP2 only: Do not shut down your machine while Windows is
automatically compacting your message store.

- Your anti-virus application's email scanning feature can also
cause such corruption. Disable it. It provides no additional
protection. --

After compacting the folders in OE, the messages in "sent items"
and other folders are not visible. How do I obtain access to
them?

Thanks for your attention to my problem.
