Hi Tim,

Thanks for your reply. I have one more question. Why does not the recipient
have the option to not send a read/delivery receipt? The read/delivery
receipt is replied to sender automatically, the recipient don’t even know it.
How can I have the option displayed?

Thanks again,

Lisa

Hi,

I set up for all messages I send, request Reading/Delivery receipt. However
it only works for internal receiver, not work for external receiver like
Yahoo mail. Please advice!

Thanks in advice!

Lisa

Not all e-mail servers/providers/clients support this feature. Even if
it does, the recipient likely has the option to not send a read/delivery
receipt. There is nothing you can do about it.

There is no general answer as each e-mail client deals with it
differently. I would need to know what e-mail client the recipient is
using as well as the version.

For example, in Outlook 2007, go to "Tools - Options - E-mail Options -
Tracking Options." There you will see options for selecting "Always send
a response", "Never send a response", and "Ask me before sending a
response."

So, in the case of Outlook, the user could have it configured for
"Always send a response" and not realize it.

Some e-mail clients do not have this option.
