I wanted to use a template but add my logo to it. Doesn't look like it is
possible unless you edit the image with an image editor.

As far as I can tell, template is a complete misnomer for these downloads. Outlook has no built-in business card template capability. The download appears to be a single contact with a customized electronic business card. If you want to use that EBC design for your own contact, you'd replace the download's information with your own information.
