Reinstalling folders-newsgroups
If you version of Ghost supports, then use the Ghost Explorer option to
view the image contents and copy the files to new folder on the hard
drive(if your image is on CD then ensure the files read only flag is not
set after copying).
Then follow the method for restoration in Michael Santovec's response in
this thread.
Correct me if I am wrong, your objective is to only restore messages in
folders that you created in OE and not messages stored in OE's default
folders?
OE also provides and option to export the settings for each mail and
newsgroup account as an *.iaf file that can be used to import to the
reinstalled XP system(tools/accounts/select a news or mail account/click
on export). Save to hard disk, floppy, or usb jump/thumb drive)
Also, some choose to just drag invidvidual messages from OE's folders to
a Windows Explorer folder then later drag them back into OE on a
reinstalled system(if Ghost images that Windows Explorer's folder it
should be available within Ghost Explorer and can be dragged/dropped
back to a new folder on the reinstalled system hard drive then dragged
to a user created or default OE folder)
Note: Reinstall Ghost to take advantage of its Ghost Explorer features.

My system XP-sp2 has been running slower and I am getting pauses of a
few seconds when performing even local tasks. Have run numerous
programs like Ad-Aware and Spybot with no speed up.
SO
I have made a full backup using Ghost and wish to do a wipe and
reinstall of XP and only reinstall programs and files I desire. My
question is just which files need to be reinstalled from ghost to
return outlookexpress files (made by me) not inbox-outbox-etc,
newsgroup calls, and have them show in OE6. To put it simply I want
OE6 to be the same as it is now.
Thank you
