Go to Control Panel-Mail Icon-Accounts. Remove the Exchange account if you are no longer using it. Install your POP3 or IMAP account.

unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, U ARE WRONGO asked:

| When I click OK for this, a Microsoft Exchange window then pops up

| these boxes is from an attempt a long time ago to set up my Web
| Exchange Account with Outlook - but it didn't work, and quite
| frankly, that isn't a big deal for me.
| So, having no other option, I just click OK. (note: Even if I clear
| noth fields, the same following thing happens.) An error message then
| pops up saying "Cannot open your default E-Mail folders. The file
| C:\Users\Khamis\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook/outlook.ost is not a
| offline folder file." When I click OK to this message, Outlook simply
| closes. Help! If I go thtough this process from the Send an E-Mail
| button in word, then at the end, I get the error "Word couldn't send
| Mail because of MAPI failure - "Unspecified Error."
