Hi:
I removed 'Norton Anti-Spam' by using 'Add/Removal.'
Sure enough, ... it does NOT cause any problem of 'Switching Identiy,'
just one 'click' to get the next identity.
Since this computer is a sort of 'back-up', then I do NOT really
need 'Anti-Spam.' However, if there is/are any 'free' to 'discounted
priced'
Anti-Spam, please let me know.
Thanks for your response/clue on this regard.

Regarding the modem hang-up questions, check your settings in Outlook
Express at Tools, Accounts, Mail/News, Properties, Connection for each
mail and news account. One or more of the accounts may be set to always
dial a specific connection. Also look at Tools, Options, Connection for
Hang up after sending and receiving. Compare to the PCs that don't have
the problem.
Regarding the Norton Anti-Spam issue, you'll have to ask Norton why
switching identities would cause the prompts.

Hi:
There are three computers in my household.
Our 'Third' computer has a strange problem regarding 'Switching
Identity' on
Outlook Express.
when changing from Main Identity to others, 2,
... it's needed to get in the next identity
by taking *Five* different steps/screens.
(1) Your are currently connected to the Internet. Do you want to keep
the
current connection for the next identity, .... click, "YES"
(2) Would you like to hang up the modem before going off line? ....
click
"NO"
(3) Norton AntiSpam has finished configuring Outlook Express.
Outlook
Express will now be restarted, .... click, "OK"
(4) Would you like to hang up the modem before going offline? ....
click,
"No"
(5) Norton AntiSpam has restarted. .... click, 'OK'
Then, *Finally* came to the next identity, ... i.e. from 'Main
Identity' to
'next Identity/George'
However, other 'two' compters take only 'One" step to get in 'next
identity,'
that is,
(1) Your are currently connected to the Intenet. Do you want to keep
the
current connection for the next identity, .... click "YES"
Afterward, 'Next Identity' came to the screen.
The 'Two' computers takes only 'One' step to get in the next identity,
however, third computer takes *Five* steps to get in the next
identify.
*Note* The 'Two" computers had already 'Norton Anti-Spam' before
created 3
different
identities. Only 'Third' computer did NOT have 'Norton Anti-Spam'
before
created
3 different identities. I installed 'Anti-Spam' on the 'third' after
created
3 different identities.
*Why does this happen on the 'Third' Compter?*
It's terrible to go through those 'five' steps to get in the next
identity.
Thanks for your help GREATELY.
