Default Outlook Contacts Index

The letters are the index on the right side of the Contacts screen. They are
not a particular field. If you click on the letter it will take you to the
first contact that starts with the letter. Currently it displays as 2 letters
grouped together and I need it to be individual letters.

In my Outlook Contacts folder, I need to change the index (on the right
side
of the screen). It currently displays AB; CD; EF; etc. How can I change it
so
that each letter displays separately, so when I click on D it goes to all
entries beginning with D and not those with a C?

Thanks in advance for your help!

And what ARE "AB, CD, EF" etc etc? What field are you displaying?
