Default send/receiving email

Sorry for the double posting, didn't realize that I had done it.
Steve and Mickey, thanks for the suggestions, never thought of it but you
both are probably right. I'll give it a try...RW

Try changing it to 10 minutes and see if you have the same issue.

Hope someone can help me with this problem.
Under send/receiving email (I'm using Outlook Express), I have my option
to
automatically check mail every three minutes. I notice that if I leave
OE
running for example minimized, it does check for incoming mail but at
some
point, it stops checking and freezes up. I notice in the lower right
hand
status bar shows "connecting" but nothing happens. The only option I
have
at that time is to do a control/alt/delete and end the program. Anyone
have
an idea as to what I can do to resolve this issue?
I'm using XP Home SP, and Internet Explorer 6.0.29 SP2. TIA...RW
