Default Outlook 2007 (trial version) suddenly prompting for pop3 passwords

Trial version is only for 60 days and you must activate it to use Outlook
or
any program. Since the end of Sept is ~60 days away, I wonder if you are
mistaking Activation for upgrading. Open Outlook, go to Help and choose
Activate to see if that's the problem.

That crossed my mind too, but I did definitely activate it when I downloaded
it. In fact, it's a requirement before you can use the trial version. The
trial actually ends at the end of the month in which the sixty days expires,
rather than at the end of sixty days. Before the end of the trial, one must
'Convert' to the full version by entering the product key from a purchased
licence.

Strangely enough, I've logged in this evening and all is back to normal.
It's as though the reminder notice upset something within Outlook, and it's
sorted itself out after a reboot. I was concerned because this was
something that happened with previous versions of Outlook, and wasn't always
very easy to fix.

I'll see what happens next time. If it is just the reminder that causes it,
and a reboot fixes it, then there's no problem.

Thanks for your input.
