Default How can I turn off reminders (no "Advanced" choice)?

Sounds like a great solution, but it didn't work. Do you have anything up
your sleeve like
Start | Run - Outlook /fixthisdarnthing
By the way, turning off reminders didn't help. The reminders looped in the
background tying up outlook giving me the pointer for 2 secs every 20.
Setting reminders to 2 weeks gives me a break though.

I have used this solution (disable reminders) to 'band aid' another issue;
About 476 reminders (all contacts) pop up and cannot be removed from the
reminder list. I tried dismissing single reminders, all reminders, opening
individual contacts and clearing flags/reminders, marked them 'completed',
all to no avail. This issue was in the 2007 pst file, so I brought the
problem along when I imported into ost/exchange. The contacts may have
been
sync'd with a PDA in the past and with outlook 2003. Calendar items are
not
an issue.
Running scanpst or scanost have not worked.

allows
you to disable the display of the Reminder and turn off the reminder
notification sound.
that's for Outlook 2007 - might be similar for other versions.

Help tells me to go to Options, then select "Advanced" but it doesn't
exist
in my version.
