Exchange Server by chance? If so, be advised that both Automatic Replies
and Automatic Out of Office messages to the Internet are disabled by default
in Exchange Server; this is done to prevent e-mail loops (which can VERY
quickly bring an e-mail server to it's knees).

Automatic replies, automatic forwards and Out of Office to Internet
recipients are disabled in Exchange 2000 Server and in Exchange Server 2003

I set up a Server Reply rule in outlook and it works great internally on
our
network, if someone sends me an email, they get the auto reply fine. But
if
I try from an external email address, I get the email from the external
address, but the auto reply never gets sent to them. Any ideas?
