Default can't access vCard forwarded to me

If you look at the message source (Ctrl-F3) on a received message and
see the WINMAIL.DAT attachment, that indicates the RTF was used for
sending.

I've seen cases where the sender sometimes uses RTF and sometimes not.
Part of it could be new messages verses replies or sending to
individuals verses groups.

If you would like, you may send me one of the problem vCard messages and
I'll take a look at it to see if something else might be going on. It's
best if you zip the message so that I get an exact copy of it. To do
that, do a File, Save As to an EML file of a problem message. Then
Right click the saved EML file and select Send To, Compressed (zipped)
folder. Then e-mail me the resulting ZIP file. Alternately, you can do
a Message, Forward As Attachment of a problem message. This is not as
good as the zip file since the headers can be modified in transit which
may obscure the problem. A simple Forward is worthless since it does
not include the headers.

Hi Mike,
That's exactly what I was looking for...! In fact, it solves another
problem. I just set up Outlook 2000 on one my employee's laptop a few
days
ago and when she sent me a spreadsheet, I couldn't see it from OE,
but when
I opened Outlook, it was there. I'm guessing her Outlook defaulted to
RTF
format. When she returns tomorrow, I can verify and change this.

But this raises another question...
If my boss has his Outlook configured to RTF (I can't verify
immediately
since he's in another state), then why am I able to see all of his
attachments but not the vCards? We don't have a company
server --everyone has
their own ISP. Our email is through godaddy using SMTP relay via each
person's ISP.

David
