Well, this is new information. (IOW you didn't say that this didn't happen
using the MS newsserver.) On what newsserver(s) does this occur? All
newsgroups on that server or just some? If only some, which ones (earlier
you gave alt.autos.gm as an example)?

If you to go Windows Update, is an OE Cumulative Update (837009)
offered to the machine?

cannot find anything. No new hardware. May set up another machine on
