Okay, but when you do a backup of your pc, are these same files available
for restore. I agree that it would be a good idea to do a backup with a
standalone program on a regular basis, but are my files on my machine backup
and if so, which directory?
Thanks

I would do a separate backup.
Backup and Transferring Files:

And use this on a daily basis once you are set.
This freeware tool backs up everything in OE in seconds. Disregard what is
written in red. That is referring to a different program.
Outlook Express Quick Backup (OEQB):

When you do a backup of your pc and later need to do a complete reinstall
of the os and data files, will your email data be reinstalled during the
restore of the machine or should we be doing a seperate backup of the
mail files with some other program designed to just backup Outlook
Express files?
Thanks!
