Default Attaching a File to an email (via network)

If you are trying to attach it as a shortcut and the person to whom you are sending the item is not on your network, they will be unable to open it.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, Jan asked:

| I just tried to send an email with an attachment that is "housed" on a
| computer that I'm networked to, but I wasn't able to attach it. I
| could attach a file if it were on the same computer that the Outlook
| 2007 was on, but not one that had to be accessed through My Network
| Places. I assume I have some setting somewhere that's keeping me from
| being able to attach the file. Anybody have a clue?
