Check your GMail accounts properties in OE for 'leave messages on
server' (OE/Tools/Accounts/Mail/your gmail account/Advanced)
and also
Logon to Gmail/Settings/Forwarding and Pop/
Item 2 under Pop Download should equal 'Delete Gmail's copy'
