Outlook Express has been my default e-mail program and has been

until I had to uninstall and reinstall Office 97. Now, every time
I load OE,
I get a small window asking if I want to make OE the default
e-mail client. I
always click "Yes" and leave the box checked that says "Always
perform this
check....". Even so, I get this window every time I load OE.
Read that again, if you have the box checked that says "Always
perform this check" then it is only doing what you told it, always
performing the check.
