Default MSIEv.6 toobar mail menu

The final version of IE7 has been out for some time now, but it's not
available for Win98. You need XP or newer.

For your problem with mail button in IE, see:
OLEXP: "Send To" and E-mail Links Do Not Work with Outlook Express
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=306098

If that doesn't help, then also see:
Problems Using Outlook Express and Prodigy Version 5 Software
(Send Page, Send Link, New Mail Message from IE)
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=248005
Although the article mentions Prodigy software, the problem is not
unique to that software.

You mentioned "Then I copy & pasted the link in MSOEv.6 and still no
go". What exactly happened? Did you start a message in OE, then do a
copy/paste from the IE address line into the OE message body?

Hi Frank,
No, I have not upgraded to MSIE7 yet. Is this the problem? I also
thought it
was still a beta. Will it work with win98? When you say the Page Icon,
are
you referring to the small pop up that allows ~four selections of
which one
is email. This only comes up with pictures. I did not use it much.

Yesterday I tried to send an article to someone from NYT. The NYT
wanted me
register email address etc. There was time early on the Internet that
people
would do that, but not nowadays. I tried to send a link to this
article and
no go. Then I copy & pasted the link in MSOEv.6 and still no go. I
finally
used a webmail and copy & pasted it and it went. It is proprietary
material
but I only referenced the link. This use to work almost seamlessly,
now....

Hello, I have noticed in the last year the Mail Toolbar menu on
MSIEv.6

is
not fully functional. I can still Read Mail and News because it
launches
MSOEv.6; but I cannot start a New Message, send a Link, or Send
Page

from
MSIE browser. It is simply being blocked. why? Is there a hotfix?

Also, the one time freedom there is now an online email harvester
for

most
"content" on Internet like newspapers and magazines etc. All these
companies
do with your email address is send spam.

You have IE7 installed, don't you?
Several of those functions are now on the Page icon.
