outlook express to work with att dsl. For days I have been with

their sst
and chat and they now say it is microsoft problem. ?!?
Briefly all my configurations are correct and paswords BUT

testing one
and only one of 7 email addresses. I can send, but not receive that

account?
This is the error message
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible

causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Account: ', Server:

'pop.att.yahoo.com',
Protocol: POP3, Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Socket Error: 10053,

Testing another account
There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was
rejected. Account: 'booklovers', Server: 'pop.att.yahoo.com',

Server Response: '-ERR invalid user/password', Port: 995,

Secure(SSL): Yes,

Can you help?

Other accounts working fine. I miss my Outlook Express.

The 'at&t Yahoo! HSI servers are having difficulties with SSL at this

time.
The common suggest is to revert to port 110 without SSL for the

moment. If
you are not having trouble sending, leave the Outgoing server

information
alone.

As you can see, lots of 'at&t Yahoo! HSI' users are having troubles;

myself,
as well.

Thank you Norman. At least I have found someone with same problem !

The work around does not work for me. AND now I can not send either.
Hopefully someone is working on it. I have spent hours on this

problem with
sst, chat, phone, etc. etc. It is refreshing to find someone like
yourself who sees what I am trying to say.

I have to give it a rest for a few days before I retackle. In

meantime, if
you find a solution, please, please, please help me.

Alas, my problem is only evident on receiving, and not with the normal

mail
clients. Not that MS Outlook Express would not encounter errors with
'pop.att.yahoo.com', but MSOE is not polling 'pop.att.yahoo.com'. I use

the
"Mercury Distributing POP3 Client" to poll for email at

'pop.att.yahoo.com'.
Using port 995 with SSL causes the client to shut down; but using port

110
without SSL results in failed logins. Fortunately, the client continues

to
poll accounts, and the logged failures are intermittent, so the email
eventually is downloaded. MS Oulook Express polls the "Mercury POP3

Server",
which gets the email from the "Mercury Distributing POP3 Client". Once

the
email is ready on the Mercury POP3 Server", the client can download it
without trouble.
