Default Dictionary decided to change dictionaries

I only use OE. I just do average e-mailing so it suits me. Outlook is a more
robust program and if you have a business, you do need something more than
OE.

BTW Bruce, what do you use in place of Outlook? Suggestions?

I used Outlook at one time, shortly after I installed Office 2007. For a
reason that I do not recall -thinking back, it took a LONG time to load -
I left it for OE. Good decision, bad decision, don't really know.

OE is in its last version. I can only assume that they care more about
future programs than a dead horse.

You don't have to get away from OE in favor of Outlook. I have never used
Outlook or an Office program. But since you have it, you may as well use
it. It is a sturdier program than OE.

Isn't that the dumbest thing you have ever heard of?? Or what?

What is Microsoft's motive? Get away from OE in favor of Outlook?

You no longer have spell checking capabilities in some languages in
Outlook Express 6.0 after you install the 2007 Microsoft Office system:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932974

Office 2007 breaks OE's spell check. Downloading a free spell check is
the simplest way around this.

Vampirefo:

TinySpell:
http://www.tinyspell.m6.net/ (Checks the spelling as you type).

If you have a previous version of Office, see this:

Using OE-6 under XP-Hm-MCE

OE's dictionary recently decided to change its language habits. For
each and EVERY word in a msg (if I allow it to go that far), it, the
dictionary comes back with a foreign language alternative.

Did I execute some kind of switch? ToolsOptionsSpelling tells me
that it is French! No other languages are made available.

Befuddled, (no French alternative to this word!)
