Default Reconstructing Outlook

You did not mention that you were using Outlook 2003 - ALWAYS include your Outlook version when posting.

Since it has been a long time since I used 2003, try creating a new mail profile and configure it DURING THE PROFILE CREATION process to use the ..pst file you want. Hint: If you give the preferred .pst file a non-generic name like "ignoramus.pst" it will be easier to locate and make the default. Renaming is always done with OUtlook completely closed.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, Ignoramus asked:

| Thanks so much for the prompt response. Understood your instructions,
| but could you please advise how I can select a specific data file as
| the default? My OL2003 automatically defaults to a new data file
| which was created when I created the new profile, but I need to have
| it use the old .PST file as the default. How do I do that?
