Default outlook 2007 wont open

Presumably you mean you installed Office 2007 and chose not to upgrade?
Did you uninstall Outlook 2003 first?
Has outlook 2007 actually been installed?
Only a single instance of outlook can be installed

In the control panel, mail applet configure a new profile, add a new data
file and an account & test

I just today installed office 2007. I now cant open outlook. It tries and
says that it is migrating account settings and just sits there. task
manager
says not responding so i let it run for a while then nothing. I restart in
safe mode. it does the same thing. It does some configure and repair
thing.

nothing. tried to do the scanpst.exe it stops right after phase 4 and it
said
it had to stop because of an error. no changes were made. I still cant
open

want
to loose my files. I did not remove my old 2003 file office files like to
