Default Outlook 2k7 .pst problems

Outlook cannot survive upgrade installations of Office, even though
Microsoft will not admit that reality. It is far better to install Office
clean. Creating a new Outlook profile should fix most problems, however. How
did you do so? Did this profile have a unique name? Do you have a good
backup of the Outlook data file you would like to transfer?

I recently tried to upgrade my Office 2003 pro suite to Office 2007 pro
suite. Everything seems to install fine but when I open Outlook and try to
connect to either an old pst or a newly created pst it just says that it
cannot display folder. I have tried to delete my profile and create a new
one
to no avail. I tried running the scanpst on my existing pst and there were
no
errors. I completely uninstalled the office suite and tried a fresh
install.
I am still getting the same errors. Does anyone have a clue as to what is
causing this problem? Your help is greatly appreciated.
