Hi Bob,
It can be difficult getting accurate information from support personnel.
They almost always assume there isn't a problem on their end. It might help
in finding an answer to know what news server you are attempting to use.
Someone reading this might have direct knowledge or a search of the Web
might lead to others experiencing the problem.
Sometimes a typo in the required authentication information can be difficult
to spot -- not to suggest this is the cause of your issue, but has happened
to me.

news

Hello Frank. I negected to tell you that I can get my email correctly, only
newsgroups problem. I followed the instructions and deleted the Protected
storage system provider. This was reloaded when OE was restarted, same
problem. I also removed the newsgroup account, and reentered the
information.
Same problem.

Thanks, Bob

I am trying to access newsgroups through my ISP. They say that I have
all the correct information in OE for accessing newsgroups. System
keeps asking for my signon and pw.
