I have had outlook 2000 for a long time but beginning this year, when I try
to open it I get an error message and it closes immediately. I have tried to
reinstall it and I still get the same error. The rest of the office 2000
software continues to work without any incident. The error message I receive
is:

Microsoft Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close. Sorry for
the inconvenience.
