Default Outlook 2007 won't install forms, won't register Vbscript, & won't

This is getting more frustrating every day. I installed Outlook 2007 over
2003. Now it won't run... Here's what happens, and what I've done to try to
remedy the problem...

When I open Outlook, I get the error...

"Outlook cannot register Outlookk forms. This feature is not currently
installed. Would you like to install it now?"

If I click "YES" the "Configuring office dialog comes up and tries to
install it. Then I get this error...

"Outlook cannot register Outlookk forms. Outlook cannot install the
necesary files due to Windows Installer error 1605. This action is only
valid for products that are currently installed"

When I click OK, I the the error...

"Failed to register a VB Script DLL. Reinstall or run Regsvr32.exe
Vbscript.dll to self register."

When I click OK (no other choice) I get... "The operation failed."
When I click OK again, Outlook closes (it was up in a window behind the
errors)

When I try to register the DLL, it says its registered, but I still get the
same error.
When I click "NO" to installing the Outlook forms, I go directly to the DLL
error.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled at least 4-5 times.
I've actually used the manual process outlined here to completly remove
Office... http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928218
I've tried to fix the dll error by following the advice here...

All this over about 40 hours and I still get the same BS errors.

Does anyone know what I can try next besides hurling this computer out the
window?
