Default OE6 fails to display e-mails

You ask some good questions. Yes there ARE messages really there Ctrl-F3 pops
them open in their own window in the raw ASCII but if you try to open the
mails in their own window either in HTML or text the OE6 application hangs
along with the preview pane view.

Please clarify if this symptom occurs only with the Preview pane.
E.g. what do you see if you open the message in its own window?
(Use Ctrl-o for example.)

If the Preview pane is the cause you should try making changes to your
Layout... (Alt-V,L). In addition you could try dragging on the various dividers
to change the size of panes you leave showing.

(I just noticed the "forwarded e-mails lack the message body" symptom.)
Verify that there is something there to show, e.g. using Message Source
(Alt-Enter,Ctrl-Tab, Alt-M or Ctrl-F3). Also, the description is slightly
ambiguous, e.g., if the E-mails are getting forwarded as attachments.
In fact, using that command would give you another interesting test:
use Forward as Attachment (Alt-M,d); then drag the attachment
to an open IE window and see if the E-mail's message body is still missing.

Problem: OE6 fails to open e-mails in all folders: Inbox, Outbox, Sent,
Drafts. Only header information displayed: To, From, Subject , date. All
other functions appear to work normally, apart from total failure to access
e-mail message bodies. e-mails can download and be forwarded but forwarded
e-mails lack the message body. Repeated reboot attempts fail to resolve this
problem.
