Default How do I export Local Folder messages from Outlook Express to

I was running OE 6.0 to access my hotmail account. To minimize the storage on
the server OE allows Local Folders (on the hard disk) where a folder
hierarchy can be created and messages stored in these folders.

Using the connector I switched to using Outlook 2007 (OL)
Whatever was on the hotmail server is available in OL. But folders on my
disk with messages is not available in OL. If I attempt Import from OL, the
dialog never allows me to pick up the .dbx files corresponding to my Local
Folders on my hard disk. Exportng from OE it provides for selecting these
Local Folders but nothing happens after selection and export - there is no
confirmation of what has happened success or failure.

Local Folders with messages in them were accessible from OE but now they are
unavailable in OL. Not a good migration path.

Hope this is clear.
Thanks for responding

Afraid I dont know what you mean
What are you meaning by Local Folders?
You go on to say your mail was on the server and downloaded to OL

If your mail was in OE exporting to OL would have moved msgs to OL

My messages on the server were picked up by Outlook. Local Folders are not
available in Outlook. How do I access them? Exporting from OE or importing
into OL does not pull this in.

I have just set up Outlook 2003 as my default email program with the
connector to MSN/Hotmail. I was using Outlook Express v6.0 and am
trying
to
import messages stored in Outlook Express Local Folders. When I try to
import
by selecting File,Import... in Outllook 2003 as Help suggests one or
two
of
the local folders appear within the MSN folder but no messages are
imported.
Is there a better way to move these messages?
