wrong account when replying
All 3 addresses use the same POP3 account and the same PWD as I use only one
mail-provider but of course the e-mail names are different (fx father@,
mother@ and son@.)

Are you saying that the Incoming Mail Server for all 3 addresses use the
same e-mail username and password?

Thanks to Michael Santovec.
Sadly, your proposal to bundle all mails into one account is of no use to
me, I might as well use only one mail address.
My wish is the exact opposite : each of the mail addresses should be
treated separately exept that they use the same POP3-account.

OE uses the same account for replies and forwards that was used to
download the original message. If you add the Accounts column to the
Inbox, you'll be able to see which account downloaded each message.
If you have multiple OE accounts pointing to the same server POP3
account (same values at Tools, Accounts, Mail, Properties, Servers, POP3
Server name and Account name) then any of these alias accounts could
download all the messages (or even some in one and some in another). OE
doesn't check the TO e-mail address.
In that case, I would uncheck the Include this account when checking
mail (Tools, Accounts, Mail, Properties, General) for all of the alias
accounts Except the default one. That way the default account will do
all the downloading and will be the one that comes up for replies.
You'll have to manually select an alternate account in the FROM drop
down box if you want. But at least you'll have consistency.

Why does OE6 use the wrong account when I press the 'reply' button.
To facilitate my local administration I use 3 different e-mail
addresses, and when I answer a mail, I (of course)want the sender to
see it as coming from the address to which he sent the original mail.
But, when I receive a mail to address #1 and press the 'reply' button,
OE6 invariably uses address #3 as 'sender', even though the default
account is defined as address #1.
Can anyone help ?
