I don't seem to be receiving my e-mails automatically, either, when OE is
running. And when I send e-mails, I get a message back saying 'no new
messages' but it's lying because when I press 'send and receive', I get
new messages.

People say that Virus Protection and Firewalls can upset the sending of
e-mails. According to Windows Security Center, the Firewall is off but
Virus Protection is on. I have AVG anti-virus which is on as is the
Resident Shield. The E-mail scanner is not fully functional.

I do wonder if OE is damaged in some way. How can I find out and repair?

Sorry this is a bit long; easy, simple answers please in words of one
