There is an option to leave emails on the server. If you set this at
home, but not at work then you won't have to worry about outlook running
at home. However, it's quite possible that you then won't be able to see
email at home that you saw at work (because your work system removed the
email from the server before your home system noticed it).
This is how I used to run. Now I work from home, so the problem went
away. Working from home also fixed the quality of the coffee. My dog's
happier as well. I sometimes wonder why I ever went into the office.
