Default message bodies do not display

Go to: StartRunType in, or copy & paste: regsvr32 inetcomm.dll - Press:
Enter. {Note the space after 32}.

If the problem reoccurs, download CWShredder and run it after doing the fix
again.

Some other possibilities. In OE: ToolsOptionsReadFonts. Choose: Western
European (ISO).

If still no joy, See this to repair or reinstall IE6/OE6:

Although written for WinXP, it works for all Windows operating systems 98 or
newer.

If you are using WinXP/SP2, and it was not already on your computer from the
factory, you will have to remove SP2 first.

How to remove SP2:

See this article. It says OE5, but applies to OE6 too.

I have been using Outlook Express 6 on WinXP SP 2 for some time now to read
my messages on Hotmail. All of the sudden yesterday, the message bodies
stopped displaying. When I open an email, I get a new window with all of
the
headers in place (To: , From:, CC:, etc.) but the body is blank. If I
move
my cursor over the body I can see there is an hourglass, but it never goes
away and the message body never appears.

As I've said, this has worked fine for me for years. I have the
synchronization set to dowload the entire message for this folder, so it
shouldn't need to be downloading anything from the server. What is it
trying
to retrieve? Why does it just hang? Any ideas?

Thanks,
Mark

If it helps, I've seen a couple bits of strange behavior trying to
diagnose
the problem:

1. If I copy a message to my desktop (drag and drop) from the folder
list,
close OE6, then double click on the message from my desktop, it displays
just
fine. No problems. However if I have OE6 open when I double click on the
message from my desktop, I get this same blank message behavior with the
hourglass.

2. I've tried to forward the message from the window containing the blank
message body and hourglass. I get the standard forward window with the
body
still blank, but no hourglass. However when I click Send on the forward
window, I get an error dialog saying "The message has not completed
downloading. It cannot be saved until download is complete."
