Never import from a PST. There's no reason and you can lose data. Simply
reuse the original PST. FileOpenOutlook Data File. Drag-and-drop to
arrange things as you want.

Is there a setting that I've missed that could be causing this ? Any
help would be appreciated.

Dump the new PST and use the original.
