Default Upgraded to Office 2003 - issues with exchange setup

Define " basic authentication and put in a proxy server as well as use fast connection options that Outlook 2003 has for exchange connections"

Pretend, well, strike that, KNOW that we cannot look over your shoulder to see what you are seeing so describe this situation as you would to someone who is seeing-impaired.

After furious head scratching, Matt Cortner asked:

| I upgraded a Windows 2000 pro machine from Office XP to Office 2003.
| I did this so I could put this client on the exchange server and use
| basic authentication and put in a proxy server as well as use fast
| connection options that Outlook 2003 has for exchange connections.
| My problem is that those options under security tab are not there. I
| uninstalled Office 2003 after that and reinstalled a fresh copy
| making sure there were no lingering office folders in the program
| files before I reinstalled. I did not go through the registry to
| make sure there were no office references though. I assume that is
| my next step, uninstall and then manually go through the registry and
| delete instances of office 2003, then reinstall but how time
| consuming is that. Is there an update or any other means to get the
| options I need to connect to my exchange server using the basic auth
| with fast connection options and entering a proxy server?
|
|
| Thanks in advance for your help!
|
| Sincerely,
|
| Matt
