You can export the rules from the Registry and open and edit them
in Notepad.

Indeed you can, but they are close to gibberish, hence my request
for readable/usable format.
Contrary to popular belief I don't read gibberish, nor barcode, come
to that.

Hi guys,
I've asked this and similar things in the past but have always
landed up with nil points.
Is there anything about that will export mail rules from OE6 into
a readable/usable text format.
I know of Brian Murphy's editor but unfortunately my rules
generally have 1 criterion.

For those who offered assistance, I never did find a way of
importing my blocked senders list, it is/was corrupted in some
way. I had to rebuild it.

And Thanks Bruce, I have used that sequence in the past, indeed it
was with that I mysteriously failed to reload my blocked senders
list. I had hoped by now someone had constructed a transmogrifier that
read
reistry and produced human readable text.
Seemingly not.
OK a suplementary question: anywhere is there a crib sheet showing
what means what in 'Rules' some of it is obvious other bits passeth
all understanding.

Ron obviously knows something more about this than I do. I just get

Hi Bruce,
I think you and I are on the same wavelength but I'm not sure where Ron
is.

I'm assuming you want to see something like..........

Where the From line contains:

Followed by a simple list if addresses that are in the rule. Nothing more.
That is what I do not know how to accomplish.
