Regarding the AB, I see it as well, but do not see the option to make it
default, probably because I don't have Outlook installed. My best guess
would be to check Yes. Or, you could right click on it and Send to. Open
the AB in OE and File | Import | Address Book (wab) and point to where
you saved it.
"C:\PROGRAM FILES\OUTLOOK EXPRESS\MSIMN.EXE" /reg
doesn't return a message unless it fails, but making OE the default does
not fix the AB proglem.
